When I call on Jesus

I love this song. Whenever we do call on Jesus he is always there. He always hears us, somethings I do wonder if he is listening. I know some prayers are better left unanswered. Someone told me to pray and ask for what I want then start thanking him through prayer for answering it.

from "Talk About It"

Verse 1:
I'm so very ordinary, nothing special on my own.
Oh, I have never walked on water,
And I have never calmed a storm.
Sometimes I'm hiding away from the madness around me
Like a child who's afraid of the dark

Chorus:
But when I call on Jesus,
All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles' and soar
When I call on Jesus,
Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call

La la la la la, la la la la la

Verse 2:
Weary brother, broken daughter,
widow widow mother, you're not alone
If you're tired and scared of the madness around you
If you can't find the strength to carry on

Chorus:
When you call on Jesus,
All things are possible
You can mount on wings like eagles' and soar
When you call on Jesus,
Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue you when you--

Bridge:
Call Him in the mornin', in the afternoon time
Late in the evenin' He'll be there
When your heart is broken,
And you feel discouraged,
You can just remember that He said
He'll be there

Chorus (2x):
When I call on Jesus,
All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles' and soar
When I call on Jesus,
Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me (back to top first time, 2nd time finish with "when I call")

La la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la-a-a

Praise Him

"Footprints in the Sand"

I have read this a million and one times. I have been struggling a lot lately with everyday life and the valleys and hills that I have had to climb. The last couple of months have been a big battle for me. Just when I think its over, something else comes my way that I have to overcome.
My son told me last night that I needed to read this again, over and over if that is what it takes for me to understand that God is still with me through all this struggles.
So I decided to post it and remind everyone else that may be going through something hard that God is still with us through these times.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”

Daily Manna

Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For, 'Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.' 1 Peter 3:8-12 NIV |

Thanks

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you that have been leaving me comments on my post. They have been very inspirational. God has told me so much though those comments. I really appreciate them so much.

I only started doing this blogging thing just a few weeks ago. A friend of mine Johnnie from http://morselsfromgod.wordpress.com/
got me started reading these things and I couldn't stop. I really enjoy reading what everyone has to say.
